New WWE Raw Star Set For Major Long-Term Push

A WWE Raw star who only debuted on the show very recently is reportedly a project and in line for a big push in the future.

Brendan Vink, known as Elliot Sexton prior to signing with WWE, is someone that WWE is looking at making a star according to PWInsider.

Mike Johnson said on the site’s Elite audio:

“Brendan Vink has been a project in the developmental territory for some time. EVOLVE had him where they were using him to build him up. He would have been given a bigger push in EVOLVE if they hadn’t been shut down.

“I was told this is sort of the beginning of trying to make Brendan Vink a star and beginning that build toward a long-term push. One person described it to me that it was kinda like when Braun Strowman was part of the Wyatt Family when Vince McMahon saw him as a long-term project to build for the future. That’s kinda where they are with Brendan Vink to build him as a long-term project.”

So far, Vink has really only featured in a tag team with Shane Thorne, with the duo forming an alliance with MVP and picking up a win over Cedric Alexander & Ricochet on last night’s Raw.

Vink has had one singles match this far, which was a loss to Humberto Carrillo.
