WWE announced that they had signed Curt Stallion, along with many other former EVOLVE stars, just last month. Since then, Stallion has been appearing on 205 Live on the WWE Network.
It seems like the company might have some plans for Stallion, as the new signing won a fatal-five way match on 205 Liv last night, earning a Cruiserweight Championship match against Santos Escobar.
On the show, which just so happened to be the 205th episode of 205 Live, Curt Stallion defeated Ashante “The” Adonis, fellow new signing August Grey, Ariya Daivari and former Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese.
In doing so, Stallion has earned a Cruiserweight Championship shot against Escobar. At this time, WWE has not announced when or where the upcoming title match is going to be taking place.
This was the only match to take place on last night’s episode of 205 Live, which you can watch on the WWE Network by clicking here.
This comes after fellow former EVOLVE star Leon Ruff defeated Johnny Gargano on this week’s episode of NXT to capture the North American in probably the biggest shock in recent memory.
