Starrcast Working With Oceania Pro Wrestling For Huge Event In 2023 Starrcast

The location for the next Starrcast event has been revealed.

Starrcast has become one of the premier wrestling conventions around with various wrestlers and legends taking part in signings and special events, including live wrestling events as well.

The fifth installment of the event took place in July 2022 with the weekend working in cooperation with SummerSlam 2022 and headlined by Ric Flair’s Last Match show.

The Starrcast Events Twitter account announced on Tuesday that the convention will be coming to Australia in 2023.

A press release also revealed that Conrad Thompson will be working with former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis and former WWE star Mickie James as executive producers for the convention. The event will be working in association with Oceania Pro Wrestling.

The 2023 Oceania Wrestling Event

Based around the successful Starrcast format, a similar styled event with a unique Australian flavour is being targeted for October to December 2023 in a major regional Australian city.

A mix of the world’s best international wrestlers and the best of Australian wrestlers will feature over a four day “international festival of professional wrestling.”

Importantly alongside the wrestling matches, will be extensive fan engagement activities with the wrestlers and a select group of high-profile legends and hall of famers of wrestling also appearing.

This event will be a combination of a major sporting event and a major cultural event like a Comic-Con all rolled into four days.

The event will be targeted for the last quarter of 2023, with work to begin immediately on securing a location capable of hosting at least 5,000 fans from around Australia and NZ across four days.
