The winner of this year’s New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) Best of the Super Juniors and World Tag League have now officially been crowned.
In the BOSJ tournament final, Hiromu Takahashi defeated El Desperado, making him a two-time winner after also winning the tournament in 2018.
There was a big moment during the match as Takahashi ripped off part of Desperado’s mask, so Desperado just took the entire thing off.
By virtue of the win, Takahashi will challenge Taiji Ishimori for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title, probably at Wrestle Kingdom.
In the World Tag League Final, the Guerillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa) defeated David Finlay & Juice Robinson to win the tournament for the first time in the team’s history.
The win likely means an IWGP Tag Team Title shot for GoD against Dangerous Tekkers at Wrestle Kingdom.
