NXT Backstage Reaction To Karrion Kross Losing Raw Debut

In one of the most noteworthy Raw moments of the year, last night’s (July 19) show saw the main roster debut of NXT Champion Karrion Kross, in which he lost to Jeff Hardy.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), the decision also surprised the members of the NXT roster, who revealed their shock and frustration with the decision, with one talent noting that it felt as though a message was being sent.

The general mood amongst the roster that Fightful spoke to was ‘not mad, just disappointed’ vibe, as they felt the loss signified how NXT was viewed by the higher ups in the company.

Fightful notes that Kross appeared to be in good spirits following the match, with one talent noting that he was put in an unfavourable position, given that he was a protected talent on one roster and a debuting talent on the other.
