The NXT brand is coming off a very successful NXT Battleground premium live event on Sunday night.

The show, which featured the crowning of a new NXT Women’s Champion, was reportedly very well received backstage by people in the company.

In a follow up from WRKD Wrestling, the two particular matches that were well received were the NXT Women’s Championship match between Lyra Valkyria and Tiffany Stratton, as well as the Last Man Standing Match between Ilja Dragunov and Dijak.

Furthermore, WRKD noted that there is still talk within the company about potentially calling Dragunov up to the main roster following SummerSlam.

On top of that, the report notes that there has been talk of Dragunov potentially joining Imperium should he be called up to the main roster.

North American Championship – Wes Lee (c) def. Joe Gacy, Tyler Bate

Heritage Cup Championship – Noam Dar (c) def. Dragon Lee thanks to interference from Oro Mensah, Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend

Last Man Standing – Ilja Dragunov def. Dijak

NXT Tag Team Championship – Mark Coffey & Wolfgang (c) def. Brutus & Julius Creed

NXT Women’s Championship – Tiffany Stratton def. Lyra Valkyria

NXT Championship – Carmelo Hayes (c) def. Bron Breakker
