NXT ‘Super Tuesday’ Viewership For September 1 Revealed

The official viewership numbers for the September 1 ‘Super Tuesday’ edition of WWE NXT on the USA Network have been revealed.

As per Showbuzz Daily, the show drew an average of 849,000, which is up from last Wednesday’s 824,000 and is the second highest of the year.

The show drew a 0.26 rating in the important 18-49 demographic, which is also up from last week’s 0.24. That’s the best rating in 18-49 of the year so far.

It is worth mentioning again that, as was mentioned in our coverage of the Raw viewership, there has been a change in how Nielsen calculates the ratings and it now includes viewing outside the home at places like bars and restaurants, so increases were to be expected.

Last night’s episode of NXT was unopposed with AEW Dynamite being tonight instead, and featured a four-way 60-minute ironman match for the vacant NXT Title between Adam Cole, Finn Balor, Johnny Gargano, and Tommaso Ciampa.

The match ended with a tie between Cole and Balor, so there’ll be a singles match next week to determine the new champion. NXT will be on Tuesday next week too, and there have been reports of talks about making the day-change permanent.
