The official name of the WWE and UFC merged company has been revealed.
On April 3, Endeavor announced that they had reached an agreement to merge WWE and UFC into one sports and entertainment company.
Per CNBC, the new operation will be called “TKO Group Holdings,” according to a spokesperson for Endeavor on Tuesday, May 16.
The company will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker, TKO. The name is a reference to the professional fighting term, “technical knockout.”
With this agreement, Endeavor and WWE hope to create a sports entertainment company that will be valued at more than $20 million.
Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel will also serve as CEO of TKO Group, while Vince McMahon will serve as Executive Chairman of the new company.
As previously reported, WWE and Endeavor sent a SEC filing with the placeholder name of “New Whale Inc.”
We will have further updates in regards to this new TKO Group when they become available.
