Overall Viewership For January 8 WWE SmackDown Revealed

The final viewership for the January 8th episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX has now been revealed, courtesy of ShowBuzz Daily.

The site is reporting that Friday’s big show, which featured two title matches and a big gauntlet match, brought in an average of 2.120million viewers, with an 0.56 in the all-important 18-49 demographic.

The final viewership figure is actually over 100,000 more than the overnight figure (2.0025million) that was released over the weekend suggested the show had averaged, which will be good news for WWE.

This means that the January 8th episode of Friday Night SmackDown actually saw an increase in viewership from the New Year’s Day show, which average 2.013million viewers by comparison.

The show saw Big E successfully defend his Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews and Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships from The Street Profits.

We also saw a gauntlet match to determine Roman Reigns’ Royal Rumble opponent that was won by Adam Pearce and features Baron Corbin, Rey Mysterio, Sami Zayn, Daniel Bryan and Shinsuke Nakamura.
