Paul Heyman, who is currently the on-screen manager for Universal Champion Roman Reigns, has called a surprising star the “future” of WWE.
As well as his role as Reigns’ “special counsel”, Heyman is also now the co-host for Talking Smack on the WWE Network, a show on which Bianca Belair was one of this week’s guests.
Paul Heyman was very complimentary of Belair, saying:
“I would be remiss if I didn’t also let Bianca know — and I think she knows this, quite well — you’re the future of this division. And that’s a word that’s thrown around a lot here, ‘Oh, I’m the future this’ — but you are. You are an athlete with amazing credentials, you bring those credentials and credibility to WWE.
“And what you do is truly worth of the tagline: ‘The EST of WWE.’ I am in awe of the magnitude of your talents. You know my feelings about The Street Profits. Those same feelings are bestowed upon you, too.”
You might not think this is all that surprising considering Belair’s obvious talent and star appeal, but given Heyman’s on-screen persona, for him to say it on a WWE show could probably be considered as such.
Belair looks to be headed towards a match against former SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley, a bout that could end up on the card for the December 20 TLC pay-per-view.
