Interesting Note On Quarter-Hour Ratings For Jey Uso Segment Without Roman Reigns On July 14 WWE SmackDown WWE

A new report has revealed an interesting note on the quarter-hour ratings for the Jey Uso segment without Roman Reigns on the July 17 edition of SmackDown.

Since WrestleMania 39, there has been much discussion among fans and critics about the quality and success of The Bloodline storyline when Roman Reigns isn’t around.

With the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion on a part-time schedule, it has led to weeks where interest and quality of the segments for the storyline haven’t been up to par.

However, WWE was able to entertain their fans with Jey Uso fighting back against Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa on the July 14 edition of SmackDown. This success translated even in the ratings.

Per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the two quarter-hours overlapped by the Jey Uso live promo and angle with Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa were the two most viewed quarter-hours for last Friday’s SmackDown, despite Roman Reigns not appearing.

The company doesn’t have to worry about Reigns’ absence on the July 21 episode of SmackDown because he has already been announced for the broadcast where Roman will have “Rules of Engagement” segment with Jey Uso.

Uso has challenged Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship with many fans and pundits indicating that the match will take place at SummerSlam on August 5.
