Randy Orton WWE Return Date Potentially Revealed

Randy Orton WWE Return Date Potentially Revealed WWE

After over 13 months on the sidelines due to serious back injury issues, Randy Orton may thankfully be nearing a return to the WWE ring.

According to a new tweet from WRKD Wrestling, Orton’s comeback could come as soon as this Saturday (July 1) at Money in the Bank from London’s 02 Arena.

WRKD Wrestling states:

Randy Orton is expected to be nearing a return, possibly even as soon as this weekend’s Money In The Bank.

Orton has been out of action since May of 2022 with a serious back injury.

Fans’ hopes of a potential Orton return were recently increased by WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, who revealed on his Kurt Angle Show podcast that Orton was potentially nearing a comeback.

Angle said:

“(Orton’s) doing good man. He recovered from his back surgery. I think he’s gonna come back pretty damn soon.

“He’s doing much better, yes. He’s coming back to life (regarding Orton posting more on social media).”

This was a welcome update following months of speculation that Orton could be forced to retire due to his ongoing back issues, something that was suggested to be a very real possibility by Orton’s father Bob earlier this year.

While its unclear whether Orton will in fact be back on July 1, his former RK-Bro tag team partner Matt Riddle is in action at the event, taking on Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship, so perhaps there’s a ready-made angle for the ‘Legend Killer’ to return to.

Regardless, we at WrestleTalk.com continue to extend our well wishes to Orton in his recovery.
