With a new rebrand of the NXT show comes a mild shakeup of it’s women’s roster, as two of the most heavily featured members of the division will be positioned as babyfaces going forward.
PWInsider is reporting that the current plan is for NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez to be a babyface champion going forward. Gonzalez recently wrapped up a feud with former friend Dakota Kai, and appears to have future defences lined up against Kay Lee Ray and Franky Monet.
The other woman who has been moved to the babyface side is Indi Hartwell, who recently proposed to Dexter Lumis on the show, with their wedding scheduled for the September 14 episode.
Tonight’s (August 31) and next week’s episode of NXT have been pre-taped, with the show on the 14th featuring the In-Dex wedding seemingly being the beginning of the ‘repackaged’ NXT.
