Raquel Rodriguez Reacts To Dakota Kai WWE Return

Raquel Rodriguez has now reacted to her former tag team partner Dakota Kai returning to WWE.

At SummerSlam, Dakota Kai made a surprise comeback, aligning herself with Bayley and IYO SKY.

Dakota had previously been released from the company in April, shortly after her and Raquel lost the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship, and Raquel’s main roster call-up.

Speaking with Denise Salcedo at the WrestleMania 39 Launch Party, Raquel noted that she’s so excited for her friend.

Teasing a reunion down the line, Raquel said:

“I’m so excited and happy for her because she is an absolute superstar. The things that that girl does, the way that she just moves, and walks with confidence. I learned so much from her just being under her wing for so long, you know what I mean? She’s been just a big part of my career as well.

“Seeing her on Raw just makes me absolutely happy. Am I a little bit sad that she’s not on SmackDown? Yes, but you know what, she’s out there and she’s killing it, and maybe somewhere down the road, we will reunite at some point, I hope.”

Dakota returned to the ring on the August 8 edition of Raw, teaming with IYO SKY to defeat Tamina & Dana Brooke in the first round of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament.
