Real Reason For Bad Bunny WrestleMania Singles Match

Real Reason For Bad Bunny WrestleMania Singles Match

A new report has discussed the Bad Bunny WrestleMania 37 plans, and the backstage reason that he is set to compete in a singles match.

On Raw, Bad Bunny challenged The Miz to a singles match at WrestleMania 37. This match was made official for the April 10 card of the 2 night event.

With this match being Bad Bunny’s debut, many fans expected him to participate in a multi-man match. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite (subscription required), this match is being promoted as a singles contest because John Morrison and Damien Priest aren’t both cleared to compete.

It was noted that due to uncertainty, WWE had chosen to market a singles match that could evolve into a tag match, rather than the other way around.

Here is the full quote:

“Morrison and Damien Priest are dealing with some minor injuries right now, and rather than announce the tag match, then change it, they announced it as a singles match, and if everybody’s good to go, it will evolve into the tag match, it might even evolve into the tag match that night. They are being very conservative just in case one or both are not 100% cleared to perform, I was told it’s just some minor injury issues. They are being very careful.”

With Morrison siding with Miz and Priest becoming an ally with Bad Bunny, a tag match between the two sides would be an interesting special attraction for WrestleMania.

With fans being welcomed into the Raymond James Stadium on April 10 and 11, it will be interesting to see how people react to Bad Bunny’s debut.

During WrestleMania week, WALTER will defend his NXT UK Championship on two different occasions. You can read about his NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver match here.
