The new date for the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) pay-per-view Revolution has been revealed according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.
Meltzer said on today’s Observer Radio that the new date for Revolution is March 7, after it was moved from February 27.
Meltzer suggested the reason for the move is because AEW didn’t want to go head-to-head with Canelo Alvarez’s next fight which is also on February 27.
March 7 is actually a Sunday despite all previous AEW pay-per-views being on Saturdays.
Meltzer did say that Saturday, March 6 was also considered but this time the promotion didn’t want to go head-to-head with UFC 259.
AEW hasn’t actually made an official announcement as of yet. The only match announced for the event so far is Darby Allin & Sting vs Brian Cage & Ricky Starks in a street fight.
