Report: Seth Rollins Leads ‘Awkward’ Meeting Backstage Before WWE Raw

Morale in the WWE locker room is said to be at one of the lowest points in recent memory following the recent trip to Saudi Arabia.

Many WWE stars are said to be frustrated with the statement the company released regarding the long travel delays, with a few stars reportedly unwilling to return to the country anytime soon.

Reddit user ToyStorySix is now reporting that before tonight’s Raw in New York City, Seth Rollins led an “awkward” backstage meeting to address the speculation about the reason for the long travel delay.

“A meeting was held before RAW to discuss Wrestler’s issues during and after the Saudi trip. Talent relations discussed “speculation” by wrestlers on social media created a dilemma for the company, wrestlers were assured it was a “mechanical issue”, wrestlers were discouraged from speculation about the issues. Vince McMahon and the Prince rumored argument was not discussed. Seth spoke to the talent, was said to be an awkward speech attempting to unify the locker room, lots of talk about how every wrestler is a part of a team and encouraged keeping grievances and speculations off social media. Some felt Seth was being forced into a position that doesn’t fit him and he is not comfortable with.”

With Roman Reigns now on Smackdown, it is clear that Seth Rollins has been chosen as the Raw locker room leader.

However, it appears that WWE stars were afraid to questions the matter, as ToyStorySix notes that despite being offered the chance to ask questions, no one backstage was willing to:

“Talent were given a chance to ask questions, there were none. and i was told the situation felt unresolved, many are tired and burn out feeling is high.”

This is certainly not good news for WWE right now. The company has just announced an extension to their current deal with Saudi Arabia.
