Report: The Original Plans For Becky Lynch After WrestleMania 36

Earlier this week, Becky Lynch appeared on Raw to make the heart-warming announcement that she would be taking time away from WWE as she and fiancé Seth Rollins are expecting their first child.

The baby is due in December, so we shouldn’t expect to see Becky much before the middle of 2021, and that’s only if she decides to return to the ring.

Had Becky not decided to have a baby, it’s being reported that some major feuds were planned for her as Raw Women’s Champion.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, and as was indicated by her post-Mania promo on Raw, Lynch was set to feud with Shayna Baszler through the Summer, which would have been made possible by Shayna winning the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Becky was originally booked to retain her championship against Nia Jax at Money in the Bank, but as we now know, Jax was instead inserted into the Climb the Corporate Ladder match, and Asuka was chosen to win the briefcase and in turn, win the Raw Women’s Championship as a result of Becky’s announcement.

Now that Asuka is champion, and there is no Money in the Bank briefcase holder, it will be interesting to see whether Baszler will be the number one contender, or whether Vince has decided to stop her push.
