It was reported earlier today that Shane McMahon will be taken off WWE TV for the foreseeable future as he is set to lose a ladder match against Kevin Owens next week on Smackdown’s FOX debut.
As taking place on the show is a tag team match between the Four Horsewomen, and Kofi Kingston defending his WWE Championship against Brock Lesnar.
Many legends, including Ric Flair, Sting and The Undertaker have been confirmed to appear on the 20th-anniversary show.
Reports have emerged suggesting that fellow legend The Rock might be joining them.
Ad Age is reporting what WWE is keeping many “opening night appearances” a secret. The report states that fans should “keep an eye peeled” for an appearance from The Rock.
It is noted that The Rock could use this opportunity to promote his upcoming Disney movie “Jungle Cruise”.
The Rock’s rather busy filming schedule makes it hard for him to appear at WWE events. This is unlike Stone Cold Steve Austin, who has appeared several times on WWE TV in recent weeks.
