Last week, it was reported that Matt Riddle was done with NXT and would be heading to the main roster. A few days later, Kurt Angle announced on SmackDown that Riddle was the newest member of the blue brand.
Over the last ten days, WrestleTalk’s Louis Dangoor has also been able to report that Chelsea Green and Dominik Dijakovic are being prepped for main roster call-ups, with Meltzer later confirming that Dijak will be on Raw “pretty soon”.
Well it appears that the raid of NXT will not stop there, as WrestlingInc are reporting that Velveteen Dream and Io Shirai have both been discussed backstage as potential main roster call-ups over the last few weeks.
“Wrestling Inc. has learned that Io Shirai and The Velveteen Dream are also being discussed to be called up to the main roster.”
The site also notes that Adam Cole is yet to sign a new deal with WWE and could be out of the company this Summer. Stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for the latest on that.
Io Shirai will challenge Charlotte Flair for the NXT Women’s Championship this weekend that TakeOver: In Your House in a three-way that will also feature Rhea Ripley. Velveteen Dream takes on the aforementioned§ Adam Cole on the same show. It isn’t out of the realms of possibility that both Shirai and Dream lose their title matches and then head up to the main roster.
