While there were no NXT call-ups the week of WrestleMania like most years, Rick Boogs did make his official main roster debut on SmackDown last week.
Now, Fightful Select (subscription required) are reporting that he likely won’t be the only star called up from NXT. The report has stated that WWE is currently planning for more NXT call-ups to Raw and SmackDown.
They do not specify who, when, or how many call-ups will take place. However, it is noted that talent from NXT and NXT UK have both been considered. They also note that talent in NXT have been speculating about who will be called up.
The main roster call-ups have appeared to come at random times over the last year. In years prior, many of the big call-ups would take place after big Takeover events. However, the only star to follow that path recently has been Keith Lee while others like Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley have debuted at less set times.
We will continue to provide updates on potential NXT call-ups as soon as more information becomes available.
