It’s being reported that WWE recently passed on signing a major Ring of Honor (ROH) star following reports that the company was interested in him.
That star is the promotion’s current World Champion RUSH, and WWE decided against signing him due to believing his asking price was too high, according to Wrestling Inc.
RUSH was said to be represented by AAA during the negotiations, and WWE apparently made an offer lower than expected.
It’s no secret by now that WWE is currently offering contracts that are worth a lot less than they were a year or so ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The belief according to the report is that RUSH has either re-signed or at least come to terms with ROH on a new deal.
The promotion has been announcing several re-signings since the start of the year, but RUSH isn’t yet one of those announced.
