On a weekend where WWE seems to be hitting reset on all their championships, Rhea Ripley is the next person to win a championship at WrestleMania. Ripley joins Bianca Belair as one of the main women’s champions.
Rhea Ripley hit Riptide and pinned Asuka. The match went about 15 minutes. There were a couple of big spots in the match including a big DDT from the apron onto the floor by Asuka.

Still, Ripley was able to come out on top. With Becky Lynch seemingly closing in on a return and Charlotte soon to be back, it would seem Ripley should be able to have a more formidable title reign than Asuka.
Asuka was barely an afterthought during the majority of her run playing backseat to the women’s tag titles. Will Ripley be more prominent?
