AEW’s Ricky Starks has named WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Sasha Banks as a dream member for Team Taz.
On the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Podcast, Starks noted that he believes the faction has found its groove, preferring the stable to remain fairly small.
Revealing that he’d be interested in joining forces with The Boss, Starks said:
“I mean, if I had to pick anyone to be in Team Taz, it’d probably be Sasha Banks. Yeah, but I think for right now, I like it how it is. I like the fact that it’s this small group. I don’t want to overpopulate it and then it becomes something boring and just corny.
“Most importantly, I just don’t want it to get to that, but I think for right now, it’s good now we have it. We all have seemingly found our groove a bit and this is the best version of Team Taz in my head by far.”
Starks previously expressed interest in seeing Sasha Banks join the faction during a Reddit Talk AMA in September 2021.
Banks is one of WWE’s top stars on their women’s roster, so would be a surprising defection, of she decided to leave the company for AEW. The Boss is one half of the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, winning the gold alongside Naomi at WrestleMania 38 in April.
Ricky Starks is scheduled to defend his FTW Championship against Jungle Boy on Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite.
