The Rock has now teased a confrontation with the Bloodline, sending a message to the WWE stars ahead of WrestleMania 39 Sunday.
This WrestleMania weekend has been a big one for the Anoa’i family, with The Rock’s daughter Ava Raine (Simone Johnson) making her WWE TV in-ring debut ahead of Saturday’s (April 1) NXT Stand & Deliver.
Later that night, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens defeated The Usos to win the WWE Tag Team Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 39 night one.
Following the show, The Rock shared a video to Twitter, celebrating his family.
The Hollywood star noted that he’s looking forward to the main event of WrestleMania 39 Sunday, with Roman Reigns set to defend his WWE Undisputed Universal Title against Cody Rhodes.
Hinting that he’ll meet with the Bloodline face to face in the future, The Rock said:
“I’m looking forward to all the matches, but especially the main event. Roman Reigns, my cousin, the Universal Champion, and to my family, The entire Bloodline – Jey, Jimmy, Solo – we’re so proud of you guys.
“And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, down the road, I’ll see you in person.”
It was originally reported in 2022 that WWE had plans for Roman Reigns vs The Rock to headline WrestleMania 39, as long as The Rock had time in his schedule to train for an in-ring return.
A follow-up report in January stated that The Rock didn’t feel he would be able to get into ring shape ahead of the event.
Sending electric energy, love, gratitude and support to our WWE Universe, Team WWE and my fellow women and men @WWE & @WWENXT Superstars whom I will always have your backs. Make history this weekend, move the crowd and have fun.
