The news of Roman Reigns’ battle against leukemia and his vacating the Universal Title caused Raw ratings to jump six percent to an average of 2.54 million viewers, up from 2.39 million the week before.
This marks the third consecutive week that Raw has improved in the ratings since their record low a few weeks back.
The Reigns news was a significant factor, with the second hour rising marginally from 2.61 million to 2.62 million.
Raw did not face baseball competition as it has in recent weeks but still went up against the NFL (10.33 million) and Cody Rhodes appearing in Arrow (1.18 million).
There was further positive ratings news for WWE with the Road to Evolution special that aired immediately after Raw, which pulled 1.11 million viewers.
The three hours were:
- 8 p.m. 2.61 million viewers
- 9 p.m. 2.62 million viewers
- 10 p.m. 2.41 million viewers
