Ronda Rousey Reveals One Name She’d Make MMA Return To Fight WWE

Ronda Rousey has reflected on her UFC career, naming the one star that she’d make an MMA return to fight.

Rousey made a name for herself as one of UFC’s most dominant competitors, holding the Women’s Bantamweight Championship for 1074 days between December 2012 and November 2015.

Her last fight in the octagon took place at UFC 207 in December 2016, before ultimately transitioning to pro-wrestling and making her WWE debut in 2018.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Rousey noted that she’d only return to MMA if offered a fight with Gina Carano.

When asked if she’d ever get back into the octagon, Rousey said:

“No. Well… There’s only one person. There’s only one person I would come back for.

“I mean, I’ve said it a million times, for Gina man. Gina Carano, she’s the reason why I got into fighting, she’s the reason why I knew it was a possibility. I will always be forever grateful… and if she ever was like, ‘Ronda, I wanna fight you tomorrow at 205 pounds,’ like whatever the hell she’d want — I’m not saying she’s 205 pounds — if she wanted to come into my backyard and do the Rocky thing or, you know, ding, ding and we just do it in the backyard, I don’t care.

“I will fight Gina wherever she wants and if she doesn’t want to forever, leave (that there). It’s a respect thing, not like a, ‘F**k you. I’m coming to get you.’ It’s just like, hey, if you ever wanna pull that card out, it’s there. I love her. Thank you Gina for everything you’ve done.”

Rousey is currently the SmackDown Women’s Champion, defeating Charlotte Flair for the gold at WrestleMania Backlash. WWE announced a ‘serious injury‘ to Rousey following Natalya’s attack on last week’s episode of SmackDown.
