An update has emerged on WWE hiring Rob Fee, following claims about backstage heat.
It was recently revealed Fee, who has been a head writer on several Disney shows, will now serve as the WWE Director of Long-term Creative.
While it was previously reported that Fee ‘isn’t making any friends’ with his treatment of assistants backstage, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that this isn’t the case.
Noting that Fee’s work has been well received so far, Sapp tweeted:
“WWE officials across creative and the broader business laughed at reports that Rob Fee is making enemies at the company. His work and treatment of others have both been positively received.”
Rob Fee himself poked fun at the first report, replying to Sapp’s post:
“Lol we all had a good laugh at that this morning while I was hitting writers assistant with chairs.”
Fee, who’s close to Bray Wyatt, was involved with the direction and production of the ‘White Rabbit’ teases that aired on WWE TV ahead of Bray Wyatt’s return at Extreme Rules.
The WWE executive recently named his favourite non-WWE wrestlers, which you can read more about right here.
