Rumor Killer On Sammy Guevara IMPACT Plans

A rumor killer has come to light regarding the plans that IMPACT Wrestling had for AEW star Sammy Guevara before he was pulled.

It was reported at the time that Black Taurus ended up doing most of what Guevara was supposed to be doing. This started rumors that Guevara would have become involved with the Decay faction.

As per Fightful Select, sources from both AEW and IMPACT have indicated that Guevara was not going to become a member of Decay.

One source with knowledge of the situation “vehemently denied” the suggest of that being the case.

An IMPACT source said they weren’t sure of the plans for Sammy Guevara other than that he’d be wrestling Ace Austin (Voices of Wrestling had reported this).

When the reports came out there was a belief that Guevara had heat with AEW management for potentially causing friction between the promotions, but it later came to fruition that also wasn’t the case.

The last we saw of Guevara on AEW TV was February 10 when he quit the Inner Circle.
