Ryback has never been one to bite his tongue when it comes to speaking out about his former employers, and now the former Intercontinental Champion has accused WWE of paying journalists to write factually incorrect news stories about him.
As you can see in the screenshot below, Collider posted a list on Facebook of professional wrestlers that “you had no idea were proud members of the LGBTQ community”. The thumbnail featured a picture that tried to suggest Paul Heyman and Ryback were about to kiss.
Unsurprisingly, Ryback wasn’t best pleased when he saw this and seemingly accused WWE of paying websites and journalists to write fake stories about him, like this one. Here’s what he tweeted on the matter:
[WWE] has been paying publications to write false articles on me since I walked out. This is simply the latest one. It’s laughable at this point and I feel sorry for them. @collider has been added to the list with my attorney and it’s going to be a lot of fun down the road.
Ryback’s last match for WWE came at the Payback pay-per-view event in 2016 when he was defeated on the kickoff show by Kalisto in a match for the United States Championship. He left the company shortly thereafter.
