Ryback On Leaving WWE: ‘Best decision of my life’

Goldberg 2, Skip Sheffield, or Ryback as he preferred to be called, recently took part in an AMA on Reddit.

His feed me more gimmick was briefly popular before some got bored of the Big Guy’s gimmick and he made the decision to leave.

It’s also fair to say that WWE’s booking of him was unhelpful to what could have been a very strong push.

In the AMA Ryback was asked whether he regretted leaving WWE, to which he simply replied:

“Best decision of my life.”

He was also quizzed about his current health, to which he replied:

“Have had 11 stem cell procedures for back and shoulder and two more in the summer. Business is my number one concern while getting healthy right now.”

One fan asked whether Ryback had any contracts with any specific promotions at the moment.

“I am not wrestling at the moment. I’ve had 11 stem cell procedures and have two more this summer. [If] I’m lucky I will get a second chance eventually, but right now my health and business are what I have to focus on.”

Ryback, who has actually legally changed his first name to Ryback, said that WWE was always going to hold him back, so the decision to leave wasn’t a difficult one.

“They were never going to let me do anything in the top spot ever, so leaving was easy.”
