Sami Zayn has commented on his first visit to Saudi Arabia ahead of WWE Night of Champions.
To the shock of many fans, WWE announced that Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens will defend the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WWE Night of Champions from Jeddah, Saudi Arabian on May 28.
This marked Zayn’s first time visiting Saudi Arabia since the company started regularly running major shows in the country in 2018.
On Thursday, May 25, Sami Zayn took to Twitter to share photos and talk about his first visit to Saudi Arabia. He tweeted:
Being a pro wrestler and being with WWE has taken me to places I never dreamed I’d get to see and do things I never thought I’d get to do. It has provided me a life filled with incredible experiences that I will cherish forever. This one is at the top of the list. الحمدلله
This visit for Zayn follows a change in the ruling from the Saudi Arabian government to allow Syrian people into the country.
