Scrapped Future WWE WrestleMania Host Cities Revealed?

A new report has revealed some scrapped future WWE WrestleMania host cities following Las Vegas being announced for next year’s show.

As previously reported, WWE announced that Las Vegas will be the location for next year’s WrestleMania 41 events on April 19 and 20.

This was a change that has been discussed for the past few weeks after Minnesota was viewed as the favorite to get WrestleMania 41.

With Vegas now announced as the location, many fans have been wondering what other sites were considered and could be in the running for future WrestleManias.

Per PWInsider, WWE had been looking at New Orleans, Las Vegas and Orlando as the front runners for future events in the next few years prior to Endeavor purchasing the company last year.

The report notes that this was the original plan when John Saboor had been presiding as WWE’s EVP of Special Events. Saboor exited the company in 2023 and is now working at Full Sail University.

Minneapolis, Minnesota stepped in and made a major bid that made them the extremely likely location for WrestleMania 41 prior to Endeavor’s acquisition of the company.

Endeavor management wanted Las Vegas as the WrestleMania 41 site due to feeling it was more of a prestigious market, especially given the strong relationship their UFC side has had with the city.

Following the Endeavor purchase, Orlando and New Orleans are now not guaranteed locks going forward.

The report also notes that future consideration for WrestleMania sites will be primarily based on how much money the company can get from rights fees from the markets and governments bidding on the event.

London has been mentioned as another possible location after their mayor discussed his desire to bring Mania to the city.

If London wants WrestleMania and is willing to bid the money, WWE President Nick Khan and his team will be extremely receptive to the idea as their goal is to maximize profits in every potential revenue stream.

It is unknown what cities WWE is considering for future WrestleMania events at the time of this writing.
