Seth Rollins’ First World Heavyweight Championship Defence Confirmed For June 5 WWE Raw WWE

Earlier today, new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins took to Twitter to tease his first title defence for next week’s episode of Raw.

Rollins asked when the last time a men’s World Title was defended on an episode of Raw, which hasn’t happened since Big E defended the title against Austin Theory in November 2021.

In a new follow up Tweet, Rollins officially confirmed a World Heavyweight Championship Open Challenge for next week’s episode of Raw in Hartford, Connecticut.

The challenge was accepted shortly after by Judgment Day member Damian Priest.

Also set for the show are two women’s Money In The Bank qualifying matches, pitting Becky Lynch against Sonya Deville and Zoey Stark against Natalya.

Rollins defeated SmackDown’s AJ Styles at WWE Night of Champions in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia last weekend to become the inaugural holder of the new World Heavyweight Championship.

Rollins and Styles teamed up on last week’s episode of Raw to defeat Finn Balor and Damian Priest of the Judgment Day.

Styles’ addition to Raw was reportedly a late change to the show at the request of Vince McMahon.
