Seth Rollins Addresses His Spot At WWE WrestleMania 40 WWE

World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has addressed his spot at WWE WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia.

At WWE Night of Champions 2023, Seth Rollins defeated AJ Styles to become the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion on the Monday Night Raw brand.

Since then, Rollins has established the title with a few memorable feuds and bouts against the likes of Drew McIntyre, Shinsuke Nakamura and Finn Balor.

Despite being a world champion on numerous occasions, this world title reign is set to be Rollins’ first of his career where he will be a defending champion at WrestleMania.

Speaking to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp at last week’s WrestleMania 40 Kickoff, Seth Rollins discussed being happy to be the prize for another competitor to challenge at this year’s Show of Shows. He said:

“That’s the case, but that’s the ride. I’m just happy to be the prize this year.”

“I’ve been in a lot of situations where I didn’t know what I was going to do at a WrestleMania card, didn’t even know if I was going to be on the WrestleMania card.”

“I’m happy to be in the positon now where, as World Heavyweight Champion, I’ll be healthy, I’ll be ready, and there are a million dudes on Raw and SmackDown who are ready and capable and we’re ready to put on a banger at WrestleMania.”

It was announced on the February 9 edition of WWE SmackDown that Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against the winner of the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match at WrestleMania.

Rollins also got involved in the scene between The Rock, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff that may lead to a possible Night 1 tag team main event.
