Shane McMahon To Crown New Tag Team Champions On Smackdown And Much More

The Hardy Boyz were forced to vacate their Smackdown Tag Team Championships on last Tuesday’s episode after it was announced that Jeff Hardy was dealing with a knee injury. He underwent surgery the following day, and it was revealed that he will be out of action for the rest of 2019.

Well, it appears we won’t have to wait too long for the titles to be around to waists of another tag team, as WWE have taken to their Twitter account to announce that Shane McMahon will be crowing new tag team championships for the blue brand on Tuesday’s episode.

In WWE’s article, as seen below, it is not clear if Shane will be awarding a team with the titles, or booking a match with the championships on the line. However, the division is weak with the only teams being Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura, The Colons, The B-Team and Heavy Machinery.

SmackDown LIVE was thrown for a loop last week when, due to Jeff Hardy sustaining a knee injury at the hands of Lars Sullivan, The Hardy Boyz had to relinquish the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

With the state of both the blue brand’s tag team division and the titles in question, Shane McMahon will arrive on SmackDown LIVE this Tuesday to crown new SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

As if that wasn’t enough, it was also announced that Kevin Owens will be commenting on Kofi Kingston’s attack last week. Also, Bayley, Ember Moon and Carmella are to be taking on the team of Charlotte Flair, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose, and finally Andrade will square off with Ali ahead of their Money In The Bank ladder match in just shy of two weeks.
