Shania Twain tells Kevin Owens: “Beat Braun Strowman and I’ll sing for you!”

This piece of news might impress you. Much.

Last night Kevin Owens joined Shania Twain on stage!

For weeks the former WWE Universal Champion had tweeted that his mission in life was to get the superstar Canadian singer to perform his favourite song ‘When’ at her concert in Kev’s home city of Montreal.

KO even got himself verified again on Twitter – after a self-imposed exile – so he could beg the country music icon to comply with his wishes.

Now. in the words of WWE.com,  “after weeks of anticipation, Owens not only saw Shania Twain in concert, but joined the iconic musician on stage during her set.”

Not only that, but the singing sensation made a challenge to KO which could have huge ramifications for Extreme Rules and his feud with Braun Strowman.

During her concert, Shania approached Kevin, who was in the crowd with an “I LOVE SHANIA” sign, and the unlikely pair both spoke French on the microphone to the delighted Bell Center crowd.

Then, arms round each other, they walked through the screaming audience – before realising they were heading in the wrong direction!

Eventually they found their way to the stage, where Shania – whose hits include ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ – appeared not to know who KO was, asking him his name.

Kevin introduced himself to a massive pop and revealed his wife had got him tickets to see Shania perform live for the first time.

“I’m just realising, you’re the guy…I’ve been getting these really annoying tweets to do the song ‘When’,” said the multi-million selling artist.

Shania then took Owens to task for being a “bad ass” in the ring and said she couldn’t condone such a request from a bad guy. Owens, of course, disagreed, saying he thought he was a good guy who represented Montreal really well.

Twain then asked KO who his biggest rival was in WWE and Kevin mentioned Braun Strowman – who just the other night on Raw, destroyed Owens’ car.

So Shania said if he can beat ‘Mr Monster in the Bank’ then she would sing ‘When’ next time she’s in town!

Owens seemed worried by this and ended up cutting a full-on promo on Twain, saying he has more Twitter followers than her! (Which is actually true…Owens has 1.15m and Twain has 921,000!)

Shania then teased her superfan by singing one line of ‘When’ but said he couldn’t remember all the words, so Owens had to make do with an on-stage selfie and a hug with the country star.

The whole experience must have been particularly sweet for Kev because last week he realised he’d originally got the date of Shania’s concert wrong – and quickly took to Twitter to correct himself.

But does this mean now that Kevin Owens’ speculated cage match with Braun Strowman at WWE Extreme Rules has taken on added significance…because KO will be extra fired up to upset The Monster Among Men so he can finally hear Shania Twain perform his favourite song?

One thing’s for sure, as wrestling publicity stunts go, kudos to Kev. This truly is one of the best!
