Shawn Michaels Discusses Main Roster Talent On NXT In Deadline Media Scrum WWE

Shawn Michaels described the decision to put the NXT Tag Team Championship belts on New Day at tonight’s NXT Deadline.

When asked about whether or not the integration of main roster stars is strategic in futurecasting toward resuming live touring events as well as a premium live event from the road in February.

Discussing the nature of decision as relatively last minute with plans for the title change being just finalized yesterday, Michaels noted that the move he feels is a positive one for NXT.

Noting that while he is planning for Vengeance Day, he noted that they at NXT are looking for ways to sell tickets for the Charlotte, North Carolina live event.

Shawn Michaels stating that he doesn’t know that the New Day will be appearing at the event but he is hoping to keep them around as long as possible!

Reiterating a similar situation for Apollo Crews, Michaels reiterated that he doesn’t “make the main roster decisions,” but he is also looking to hang on to his main roster experience as long as possible as well.

When Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful asked if there were any main roster talent that he had requested that wasn’t fulfilled, Michaels described using a conservative perspective.

Noting he didn’t think there was anyone that he has asked about, he doesn’t want to take advantage of his friendship with Triple H in making requests.

Naming Roman Reigns and Sheamus as stars that he “wouldn’t push it too much,” to ask for from the main roster.

He did note that he has eyes on talent that perhaps have been out of action due to injury for instance or that just live locally in Orlando.
