Gunther and Sheamus faced off in a WWE King of the Ring Tournament first-round encounter on the May 6 episode of WWE Raw.
The full match can be seen below this news story and saw both men go at it, exchanging blows that left a mark on their respective chests.
With Gunther progressing in the tournament and set to face the winner of the upcoming and untelevised Kofi Kingston vs Rey Mysterio match, Sheamus has taken to social media with a message of his own.
Sharing a photo, which can also be seen below, showing the aftermath of the match, Sheamus tweeted:
“There will be no part 4.”
Gunther and Sheamus have crossed paths previously in singles action, starting with WWE Clash At The Castle in September 2022.
Unable to defeat Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, the pair would face off again on the October 2022 episode of SmackDown.
Last night’s WWE Raw marked their third broadcast encounter in singles action and their first since Gunther lost the Intercontinental Championship to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40.
Sheamus and Gunther had a number of WWE Live house show matches in singles action and with their respective teams, the Brawling Brutes and Imperium, during 2022 and 2023.
With such a storied history between them, Gunther suggested Sheamus was riding on his coattails, with Sheamus suggesting that former Imperium member Giovanni Vinci should give him a call.
