On tonight’s AEW pay-per-view AEW Double or Nothing, a surprise return led to a shocking title change.
Kris Statlander returned at AEW Double or Nothing to challenge Jade Cargill for her TBS Championship after she had already successfully defended the title against Taya Valkyrie.
The second ever TBS Champion was crowned as Kris Statlander returned to beat Jade Cargill and capture the gold.
After successfully defending her TBS Championship against Taya Valkyrie, a surprise opponent was waiting for Jade Cargill.
While Cargill was able to capture the victory over Valkyrie to maintain both her 60 match career undefeated streak and her TBS Championship, she would not be leaving AEW Double or Nothing with the distinctions.
Kris Statlander made her shock return after the match, answering a challenge laid out by Mark Sterling who noted that Jade Cargill had already beaten every opponent.
When Statlander answered the call, Jade didn’t back down and as a fighting champion they went to battle however the fresh from return Kris Statlander was able to beat Jade to win the title.

Elsewhere already on AEW’s pay-per-view AEW Double or Nothing, Orange Cassidy looked to defend the AEW International Championship against 20 other men in the Blackjack Battle Royal.
