Sonya Deville has discussed a possible return to the ring, commenting on the future of her onscreen WWE Official role.
It was previously reported that Deville was training to return to action. According to the WWE Official, she loves the role she is currently performing in the company.
Speaking on WWE The Bump, Deville explained that she enjoys being an onscreen leader. Noting that she doesn’t see herself changing roles anytime soon, Deville said:
“You know, I love what I’m doing right now. I think it’s a natural fit. I’m a leader in life, and I think it transitions well into a suit and tie. I love being in charge, so I’m content with where I am right now,” Deville stated.
“At the end of the day, of course, I’m a fighter, but I’m really enjoying growing and learning in this role. I don’t see an end to it anytime soon.”
Deville hasn’t wrestled since her “Loser Leaves WWE” match against Mandy Rose at SummerSlam 2020. She took time away from WWE to deal with the stalker case in court.
In a recent case update, the alleged stalker, Phillip Thomas, has been transferred out of police custody. This comes after Thomas was found incompetent to stand trial last month.
