In the latest update regarding Sonya Deville, she filed a motion detailing that she has received more threats after the attempted kidnapping on August 16.
Phillip Thomas II was arrested and has been denied a $2 million bail after the judge deemed him a threat to the community, but he has not yet been convicted and the case is still ongoing.
As per PWInsider, the Hillsborough County Court has denied a motion from the Florida media to have the evidence in the case released to the public. Such evidence includes photos of Deville’s home, social media messages she has received, video footage, and other online communication.
There was also a motion filed on August 24 requesting confidentiality for the victims (including Deville, real name Daria Berenato) and their personal information. The filing detailed that Deville had received more threats from other unknown people following the incident.
At this time, Thomas is charged with Aggravated Stalking, Armed Burglary of a Dwelling, Attempted Armed Kidnapping, and Criminal Mischief. A temporary injunction hearing is scheduled for August 27.
Deville lost a ‘loser leaves WWE‘ match at SummerSlam this past Sunday and is expected to take time off from the company due to the incident. The match was initially a Hair vs Hair match but Deville was advised not to have her head shaved for court.
