Tony Khan has announced that an AEW championship has been vacated after tonight’s Revolution pay-per-view event.
The main event of the show saw Sting and Darby Allin retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship against the Young Bucks in Sting’s final match.
During the post-show media scrum, Khan addressed the future of the championship given Sting’s retirement from in-ring competition.
Khan revealed that the title has officially been vacated and there’ll be a tournament soon to determine new champions.
No exact details have been announced for the tournament as of yet, so we’ll keep you updated with any news on that as it comes out.
