A couple of days ago Robert Roode, along with Primo Colon, was given a 30-day suspension for violating WWE’s wellness policy, meaning he’ll be absent from TV for that period.
He was playing a fairly prominent-ish role on SmackDown at the time, with he and tag team partner Dolph Ziggler acting as henchmen for King Corbin.
As part of Corbin’s current storyline with Roman Reigns, the ‘Big Dog’ speared Roode through the barricade, flipped the commentary table onto him, and then continued the attack while the former NXT Champion was being stretchered out, a couple of weeks ago.
Last night on SmackDown, Roode’s absence from the sides of Corbin and Ziggler was addressed by Michael Cole, who explained that he was out due to injury.
It is currently unknown what he and Colon failed the tests for exactly, but as they were their first violations the penalty is a 30-day suspension.
