Last night on Friday Night Smackdown, The Fiend Bray Wyatt attacked Seth Rollins during the latter’s opening match with Roman Reigns.
As the pair’s feud was seemingly continuing, many people expected The Fiend to be kept on Raw. This seemed especially likely considering that it emerged that Paul Heyman was working very hard to keep Wyatt on Raw.
However, Wyatt was later announced as Friday Night Smackdown’s second pick in the 2019 Draft after Roman Reigns. Rollins is expected to stay on Raw with fiancée Becky Lynch.
This means that Wyatt’s feud with Rollins is certainly over, and possibly explains why their match at Hell In A Cell ended the way it did.
Perhaps the match was booked with the intention of giving The Fiend the title, but FOX might have tried to get Wyatt once the match had already been made, leaving WWE with a hard decision to make.
Perhaps we can now understand slightly more why WWE made the call they did, with FOX and the USA Network said to be heavily involved in the draft moves this year.
