The Rock Breaks Heel WWE Character To Send Message To Triple H WWE

The Rock has broken his heel character to send a message to WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque (Triple H).

‘WWE Rivals’ covers the long-running feud between The Rock and Triple H that lasted across their in-ring careers.

On February 25, 2024, WWE released a trailer for the episode of the A&E series that aired on Sunday.

The trailer for the episode can be seen below this news story, with Triple H also sharing it on Twitter with the message:

“Destined to do this forever… thank God. “

In response, The Rock would send a message of his own on Twitter, replying:

“Hope everyone out there enjoys this tonight as much as we did paving the road over the years.

“There’s no business, like the pro wrestling business and I LOVE it.

“Boundless respect to my brother @TripleH. Blood, sweat and ‘thanks for the house’.”

This is something of a change of message between the pair, with The Rock taking Triple H to task at the WrestleMania 40 kickoff media event.

The Rock had taken issue with Cody Rhodes referencing his family, slapping the American Nightmare during the event and cementing his heel persona ahead of the WrestleMania.

On February 9, Triple H would make it clear that he is the man in charge of decision-making in WWE during that evening’s episode of SmackDown.

Dwayne Johnson joined the TKO board of directors on January 23, 2024, taking ownership of The Rock name as part of the deal – his position on the Board being something that WWE tapped into on TV to play up the tension between himself and HHH.

As WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul Levesque welcomed Johnson to the TKO Group team before all the on-screen shenanigans.
