On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the potential reason why Vince McMahon books older stars like The Undertaker and Goldberg, and it could be down to the fact that Vince isn’t a spring chicken himself.
Dave Meltzer noted that Vince McMahon, who turned 75-years-old just a few months ago, may feel content booking wrestlers in their 40s and 50s because they don’t seem that old to him anymore, compared to him in his 70s.
This isn’t always something Vince has done, as Meltzer noted that Hulk Hogan was forced off TV in favour of younger guys like Bret Hart, Ultimate Warrior and Tom McGhee, even though Hogan probably had more to give in the ring.
Could it be that now that Vince is older, he doesn’t see an issue with bringing people like Big Show, John Cena, Goldberg and The Undertaker back and giving them high profile matches over the likes of Keith Lee, Aleister Black and more?
This comes after it was actually reported that as of right now WWE has no plans to bring back the aforementioned Goldberg and John Cena for feuds with Roman Reigns. You can read more about that by clicking here.
