This Is What Bayley Had To Say To New Girl Ronda Rousey

Since it’s Women’s History Month, I think it would be a good idea to talk about women . . .

Starting from her appearance in the Royal Rumble two months ago, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has received a lot of heat from members of the pro-wrestling community, and it’s understandable.

Her first ever appearance in WWE was in WrestleMania 31. She re-appeared again in the Royal Rumble raining on Asuka’s parade as pointed out by Taz in The Taz Show, and overshadowed the rest of the superstars as called out by both Nia Jax and Nikki Bella on Twitter. There is no doubt that she has been given a momentous push

When we have great female wrestlers such as Becky Lynch and Mickie James kept on the sidelines I can understand how intimidating it must be when a new girl is given more opportunities. That is why I admire what Bayley told Newshub:

“She isn’t taking my spot, she is not stopping me from achieving my dreams just because she is here. She has touched so many different people in the world of sports. People want to see Ronda Rousey because she is an attraction. I have people come up to me at my gym and they tell me they are going to watch because they are big UFC fans. I don’t feel like she is taking the spotlight away from us – if anything it is pushing us to be better.”

It is impressive how Bayley saw an intimidation as an opportunity to be better in a big corporation such as WWE, in which talent are pushed depending on profits and reactions. So whether you like her or not, she’s a wrestler to be admired.

Happy Women’s History Month Everyone!
