Title Change Closes Out AEW Dynamite’s Debut In Canada AEW

AEW Dynamite made it’s debut in the great white north tonight, when the show aired live from the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, Canada.

There were several big matches set for the show, including Chris Jericho defending the ROH World Championship in his home country against Bryan Danielson. Jericho scored the victory thanks to an assist from Daniel Garcia.

The main event of the show saw Pac defend the AEW All-Atlantic Championship against Orange Cassidy in the pair’s third match, dating back to the 2020 AEW Revolution pay-per-view.

Pac retained the title over Orange Cassidy at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam after using a ringside hammer to his advantage. He then also used the hammer to defeat Trent Beretta at AEW Battle of the Belts IV.

Tonight, Orange Cassidy was able to overcome the Bastard, becoming only the second ever AEW All-Atlantic Champion, after Pac was crowned the inaugural champion back at Forbidden Door.

This is Cassidy’s first taste of championship gold in his AEW career.
