Tonight’s episode of AEW: Dynamite featured two title matches. The first match was for the AEW Tag Team Titles. Kenny Omega and Hangman Page faced SCU.
SCU kept their automatic rematch after losing to Page and Omega a few weeks ago. However, they stayed number one contenders by defeating Best Friends last week.
The number one contender for the AEW Women’s Title is Nyla Rose. She got her title shot tonight on AEW: Dynamite.
Omega and Page retained their titles. Kenny Omega and Hangman Page appear to be in a much larger storyline and it wouldn’t have made sense for them to drop the titles tonight.
However, Riho doesn’t appear to have a true direction as a champion. Therefore, it made it a real possibility that she could lose her title tonight on AEW.

And she did just that. Nyla Rose is your new AEW Women’s Champion.
This match was easily the best women’s match thus far in AEW. The crowd was incredible. It usually takes crowds a bit to get into the action for AEW women’s matches.
Whether that’s a result of the action or stories, I’m not sure. However, tonight, the action was hot and heavy from the get-go.

There were a ton of near falls. Both wrestlers kicked out at the last minute and hit huge spot after huge spot.
In the end, Nyla just wore Riho down with her power move set. She sealed the win with a big PowerBomb. No announcement has been made as to a rematch, but seeing this at Revolution would make a lot of sense.
